Last Blog of the Semester

Well this semester has been such an up and down roller coaster. I'm so eager to be done for this semester and cannot wait for the summer. This class has taught me a lot of new things that I will hopefully use in my future classroom. Blogging has been something that at first I really didn't like, but as this semester went on I became very comfortable with blogging. I'm hoping all of you do well on your finals and hopefully all of you will have an awesome summer.

Getting New Puppies!!!

So it's been less then a week and we have already picked out two new puppies that we will be getting on May 11th. My mom misses being home with my dog and needs some company while she works, so we have all decided on getting two new puppies. The two puppies are one boy and one girl. One is a puggle (pug and beagle mix) and the other is a puggle bulldog mix. They are the cutest puppies in the world and they will be about 2 months old when we get them. We cannot wait to get this puppies in the house and we keep counting down the days till they arrive!!!

You Will Always Be Missed

Yesteday was a hard time for me because I found out that my dog Cassie had passed away. She was turning 9 years old in October and I have had her since she was a little puppy. She was a beautiful Puggle that always had lots of love in her. It is hard to lose her because she was the best dog that we have ever had. She was such a loving and fun dog and was like one of us. She would relax on the couch all day, eat her food throughout the day, and just give love to everyone. It's going to really hit me that she has passed away when I drive home tonight and when I pull up to the house, not seeing my beautiful puppy running up to the door and barking to let everyone know I am home. It will be hard, but I am glad that she doesn't have to suffer anymore.

A Sigh of Relief

Well for the past 3 weeks I have been dealing with a very painful shoulder pain. I tried taking some time off to see if that would do the trick, but it did not. So last week I went to the doctor to get it checked out and he thought that something very terrible had happened to my shoulder so he ordered me to get an MRI. After getting the MRI and the results from it, the doctor believed that I had a rotator cuff tear along with some other problems in my shoulder that I may need to get surgery for. After telling me this, he told me to go to a surgeon to get it checked out and to get his opinion on the whole situation. So for this past week before this morning, I had been very upset knowing that I may need to get surgery. Even though surgery would heal it, I got depressed because surgery would keep me in a sling and unable to do a lot of things for this summer and fall. This morning I had an appointment with the surgeon and it came out to be very positive. I found out that I don't need to get surgery, but I have bad bicep tendonitis which needs to be treated properly with physical therapy and rest. The end result from this appointment is that I am done for the season, but in about 6-8 weeks I should be almost fully healed. Even though I'm out for the rest of this season, I'm still very grateful that I don't need surgery. I will just have to support my team as best as I can and hopefully we will make the playoffs and win the conference tournament.

Gotta Love This Weather!!

 

This week's weather is being such a tease for summer time. Yesterday was 90 degrees and sunny and today is a little bit cooler but still very beautiful. I love this weather and I can't wait for summer. The rest of this week is supposed to be at least 70 degrees and will keep all of us hoping for the same weather till the end of the school year. This type of weather is perfect to play baseball in and our team is hoping to catch a hot streak and be able to keep our spot in the playoff run. We have 6 big conference games left and we need to at least win 4 of the 6 games to guarantee a spot. Even though our record doesn't show the type of team we are, I have a great feeling that we will make the conference playoffs and win the whole tournament.
